新葡萄平台官网大全 stands together with the Iranian community

On behalf of Edith Cowan University, Vice-Chancellor, Professor Steve Chapman CBE has extended support for the University's Iranian community at this time of upheaval and offered most sincere sympathies to the people of Iran and to all those affected by this crisis.

On behalf of Edith Cowan University, I extend our support for the Iranian community at 新葡萄平台官网大全 at this time of upheaval and extend our most sincere sympathies to the people of Iran and to all those affected by this crisis.

I want to acknowledge that we are aware of the severity of the situation for people living in Iran and that we completely condemn the recent violent attacks at Iranian universities, and the injustice, poverty and lack of human freedom that citizens have been suffering under.

We condemn the recent killings and stand in admiration of the resilience, determination and bravery of Iran’s citizens, who continue protest for their human rights in this highly volatile and dangerous political environment.

As a University we are guided by our values of integrity, respect, rational inquiry, personal excellence and courage and an important part of our University’s mission is to promote an awareness of the universal human rights of all people.

新葡萄平台官网大全 offers free support services to students and staff and I encourage those who are affected to make use of our confidential mental health support available via our Counselling Services and Employee Assistance Services.

Women’s’ Rights are a critical human rights issue worldwide, one that our University is proud to show leadership in. As the only university in Australia to be named after a woman, we follow in Edith Cowan’s footsteps to redress inequalities and improve education and opportunities for women.

Vice-Chancellor, Professor Steve Chapman CBE
